Senior Back End Java Developer

Type of work: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office)- obligatory
Contract: only contract of employment Salaries: base+ financial bonus

Please note: for this role we can not consider candidates who require company support to legally live and work in Poland Responsibilities:

• Develop web applications using the Java/Spring stack.
• Handle requirements, decompose user stories, and manage middle/junior engineers.
• Understand and implement scrum team roles and agile development methodology.
• Design and develop distributed systems and software architecture.
• Refactor code, perform performance and memory tuning.
• Manage build systems (Maven or Gradle), including dependency management, build lifecycle, release, and version management.
• Utilize Git branching models (git flow, GitHub flow) for version control.
• Work with frameworks such as Spring, ORM, messaging, security, batch, and integration.
• Design and manage databases, ensuring consistency models, SQL, and distributed transactions.
  Implement microservice architecture patterns and best practices, including communication patterns (HTTP, messaging, gRPC, CQRS).
• Design APIs following best practices, including API First approach.
• Solve complex algorithms and problems efficiently.

Requirements:

• Minimum 9 years of commercial experience developing web applications using the Java/Spring stack- obligatory requirement
• Proven team lead experience, including requirements handling, decomposing user stories, and managing middle/junior engineers.
• Strong understanding of scrum team roles and agile development methodology.
• Extensive DevOps experience, including creating and improving CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments, networking, Unix, and understanding Kubernetes and Docker registries.
• Expertise in distributed systems design and software architecture.
• Proficiency in refactoring, performance, and memory tuning.
• Experience with build systems (Maven or Gradle): dependency management, build lifecycle, release, and version management.
• Knowledge of Git branching models (git flow, GitHub flow).
• Excellent knowledge of Spring Framework and related technologies (ORM, messaging, security, batch, integration).
• Strong understanding of databases, including consistency models, SQL, and distributed transactions.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture patterns and best practices, communication patterns (HTTP, messaging, gRPC, CQRS).
• Proficiency in API design best practices, including API First approach.
• Strong algorithms and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and best practices, including Jenkins, Sonar Qube, unit testing, and git flow.
• Expertise in asynchronous programming and reactive programming.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka and MQ.
• Knowledge of relational databases as well as NoSQL, understanding differences and applications.
• Understanding of Kubernetes/Docker Swarm-based architecture and deployment.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience using GenAI tools such as Cline, Aider, or Github Copilot.
• Knowledge of Vert.X is a plus.
