SAP ABAP TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP solutions including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF objects).
Work extensively on S/4HANA ABAP development, including CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
Develop and optimize performance-intensive programs using modern ABAP techniques.
Handle enhancements (User Exits, BADI, Enhancements Framework) and custom development.
Design and develop interfaces using IDocs, RFC, BAPIs, Web Services, APIs.
Work with SAP Fiori/UI5 team to support backend OData services.
Analyze functional specifications and convert them into technical designs.
Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
Support SAP upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA conversions.
Collaborate with functional consultants for solution design and issue resolution.
Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and coding standards.
Provide production support and handle incident/service requests.

Required Skills & Expertise:

Core ABAP

Strong in ABAP RICEFW development:

Expertise in:

ALV Reports (OO ALV, SALV)
Smart Forms / SAP Scripts / Adobe Forms
Data Dictionary (DDIC)

Module Pool Programming:

S/4HANA Skills

Core Data Services (CDS Views)
ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP)
Code push-down techniques
S/4HANA adaptation & simplification

Integration

IDocs, RFC, BAPI
OData Services / Gateway

REST & SOAP APIs:

Enhancements

BADI, User Exits, Enhancement Framework

Implicit & Explicit enhancements:

Performance Optimization

SQL tuning, indexing
Runtime analysis

Knowledge of SAP BTP / RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)

Experience in ABAP on HANA:

Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD for SAP

Education: MCA,MSc,MTech,Bachelor of Engineering,BCA,BSc,BTech
