SAS Developer

We are seeking a skilled SAS Developer to design, develop, and maintain data analysis, reporting, and ETL solutions using SAS tools. The ideal candidate will work on data management, statistical analysis, and reporting systems, supporting business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

SAS Development & Programming:

Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS programs using Base SAS, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL
Write efficient code for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
Develop reusable SAS macros for automation

Data Management & ETL:

Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading (ETL)
Work with large datasets from multiple sources
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity

Reporting & Analytics:

Generate reports using SAS procedures (PROC SQL, PROC REPORT, PROC TABULATE, etc.)
Build dashboards and analytical reports
Support business teams with data insights and analysis

Statistical Analysis (if required)

Perform statistical modeling and analysis using SAS
Work with techniques like:

Regression analysis
Forecasting
Data mining

Performance Optimization

Optimize SAS programs for better performance
Debug and troubleshoot issues in SAS jobs
Handle large-scale data processing efficiently

Collaboration

Work with data analysts, business teams, and IT stakeholders
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Support UAT, testing, and deployment

Core SAS Skills:

2–5 years of hands-on experience in SAS Development
Strong expertise in:

Base SAS

SAS Macro Programming:

PROC SQL

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of:

Data manipulation and transformation
ETL processes

Good understanding of data warehousing concepts
Experience with large datasets

Database Skills:

Experience working with:

Oracle
SQL Server
Teradata (or similar)

Strong SQL skills:

Tools & Platforms:

SAS Enterprise Guide / SAS Studio
Experience with UNIX/Linux environments (preferred)
Version control (Git – optional)

Education: MCA,MSc,MTech,Bachelor of Engineering,BCA,BSc,BTech
