About the role

The Marketing Automation Database team is responsible for driving the overall Database & Segmentation to build and manage audience segmentation and reporting workflows across Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Snowflake using SQL Queries. The role will focus on Data Extension creation, SQL-based segmentation, and producing waterfall/funnel counts for business stakeholders. Database team will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality data and accurate segmentation logic

  • Build audience segments using SQL Query Activities and/or Data Cloud Segments.
  • Implement eligibility rules (opt-in, suppression, frequency capping, exclusions, geo/product filters, behavioral rules).
  • Familiarity with Data Cloud and Data Extensions to publish/pull in data used for segments.
  • Manage import/export automations and support integration-driven updates from Snowflake/Data Cloud.
  • Design, create, and maintain Data Extensions (standard, filtered, and sendable) aligned to campaign and reporting needs.
  • Support mapping and alignment between Data Cloud unified profiles, attributes, and SFMC sendable audiences.
  • Create and maintain waterfall count frameworks to show the progression of audience through each stage.
  • Maintain data hygiene (deduplication, suppression lists, consent flags, bounce logic, and preference management).
  • Document segment definitions, SQL logic, DE structures, refresh cadence, and business rules.
