SAP Digital Manufacturing

The SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom MES solutions, integrations, and extensions within SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) platforms.
This role plays a critical part in:

Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Building high-performing MES applications for shop floor operations
Integrating SAP DM with ERP (S/4HANA), shop floor systems, and cloud platforms

The position requires strong hands-on development expertise, architectural understanding, and solid manufacturing domain knowledge.

Design and build scalable MES solutions using SAP DM, MII, and UI5/Fiori for shop floor operations and analytics.
Develop and customize PODs with plugins for data capture, quality checks, and equipment integration to enhance shop floor usability.
Build and manage integrations between SAP DM and S/4HANA, shop floor systems, and external platforms using APIs and CPI.
Implement data models, routing logic, and SFC lifecycle processes to enable traceability, serialization, and compliance.
Develop cloud-based extensions on SAP BTP using CAP, Node.js/Java, and manage APIs, security, and side-by-side enhancements.
Define solution architecture and optimize performance, scalability, and responsiveness for high-volume manufacturing environments.
Manage code transport, environment promotion, and ensure smooth SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
Provide L3 support by troubleshooting production issues, resolving defects, and performing root cause analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Create technical documentation and ensure adherence to coding, security, and compliance standards.

Hands-on expertise in SAP DM and MII with strong understanding of SFC lifecycle, routing, BoM, and data collection.
Proficiency in UI5/Fiori, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Node.js/Java, and REST/OData services.
Experience in SAP CPI, S/4HANA integrations, IDocs, and event-driven architectures.
Strong knowledge of HANA SQL, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and transport management for deployment automation.
