• A day in the life of an Infoscion

• As part of the Infosys consulting team, your primary role would be to lead the engagement effort of providing high-quality and value-adding consulting solutions to customers at different stages- from problem definition to diagnosis to solution design, development and deployment.

• You will review the proposals prepared by consultants, provide guidance, and analyze the solutions defined for the client business problems to identify any potential risks and issues.

• You will identify change Management requirements and propose a structured approach to client for managing the change using multiple communication mechanisms.

• You will also coach and create a vision for the team, provide subject matter training for your focus areas, motivate and inspire team members through effective and timely feedback and recognition for high performance.

• You would be a key contributor in unit-level and organizational initiatives with an objective of providing high-quality, value-adding consulting solutions to customers adhering to the guidelines and processes of the organization.

• Performance, Optimization & Modernization

• Analyze and optimize Mainframe DB2 performance, including batch processes and code refactoring.

• Implement and support Q Replication and other data integration solutions.

• Tune DDF workloads and manage overall DDF system behavior.

• Maintain and optimize Accelerated (IDAA) tables.

• Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency.

• Execute modernization strategies for mainframe data systems.

• Perform performance data collection, analysis, and tuning for DB2 systems.

• Evaluate and implement new features offered by DB2 versions for performance, cost optimization and operational benefits.

• Operations, Resilience & Support

• Provide 24×7 on call support for Mainframe infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain runbooks, best practices, and operational documentation.

• Implement tools and processes required for a highly stable environment.

• Ensure operational resilience and perform thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

• Establish and maintain database policies for DR, security, maintenance, and audit compliance.

• Support incident and problem management related to DB2 and application failures.

• Collaboration & Leadership

• Work with cross functional teams, vendors, and SMEs to drive technical excellence, support internal initiatives and strategic transformation projects.

• Lead tasks with a proactive “can do” attitude.

• Strengthening team capabilities through continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

• Primary skills: Technology->Database Administration->DB2 on Mainframe

• What You Bring (Must Have Skills) –

• 8+ years of experience in Mainframe DB2 DBA, Q Replication, and Performance Tuning.

• Strong experience with Mainframe DB2 data replication suites.

• Strong background in automation/scripting.

• Hands on experience with large scale Sys Plex, data-sharing environments.

• Deep knowledge of diagnostic tools, problem determination, and technical troubleshooting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across system and application domains.

• Added Advantage -

• Experience with Db2 LUW, Db2 client

• Exposure to IDAA, IDAA Bulk Loader, and CDC Replication

• Good knowledge on software configuration management systems

• Strong business acumen, strategy and cross-industry thought leadership

• Awareness of latest technologies and Industry trends

• Logical thinking and problem solving skills along with an ability to collaborate

• Two or three industry domain knowledge

• Understanding of the financial processes for various types of projects and the various pricing models available

• Client Interfacing skills

• Knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies
