Venture Research - Consultant

To identify and shape future growth opportunities for internal Infosys ventures through deep research and strategic analysis. It ensures informed decision-making by evaluating market potential, feasibility, and readiness of ideas and solutions. The role bridges internal ventures with startups, partners, and emerging ecosystems to accelerate capability building and differentiation. It also strengthens the organization’s external credibility and influence by driving high-quality thought leadership in collaboration with industry leaders and experts.

• Venture & Startup Research: Identify high-potential opportunities by researching internal ventures, emerging technologies, and relevant startups for collaboration, co-development, or capability enhancement.
• Feasibility & Readiness Assessment: Evaluate ideas and solutions across market potential, technical and regulatory feasibility, and assess Business Readiness Levels (BRL) and Technology Readiness Levels (TRL).
• Capability & Competitive Analysis: Analyze existing offerings to identify capability gaps, recommend what to add (why and how), and conduct competitive and startup landscape benchmarking.
• Innovation Intelligence: Continuously track technology breakthroughs, research publications, patents/IP, and industry trends to uncover whitespace opportunities.
• Thought Leadership & Ecosystem Collaboration: Develop and publish high-quality thought leadership with leaders, startups, partners, and industry experts, with a proven track record of publications in top-tier publication houses.
• Industry research, technology research, Business research, industry trends, emerging technology trends, market intelligence.
• Experiences around tools/databases like IDC, Gartner, CB Insights, ISG etc.
• Support innovation-related events, internal innovation programs, and incubation initiatives to drive technological advancements and strategic growth.
• 3–5 years of experience in venture research, innovation strategy, consulting, or technology research
• Prior experience working with corporate ventures, innovation labs, startups, or VC/accelerator ecosystems. Exposure to IP analysis, patent landscaping, or academic research is a plus.
• Strong experience in thought leadership publications, Industry research, technology research, Business research, industry trends, emerging technology trends, market intelligence

Education: MBA,Bachelor of Engineering
