Mainframe Lead

Position Overview: We are looking for a Mainframe Senior developer responsible for building Mainframe applications. Your primary responsibility will be to create user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining mainframe-based components and interfaces, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable mainframe codes by setting expectations and features priorities.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development
• Contributing to team meetings, troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
• Understand Architecture Requirements and ensure effective Design, Development, Validation and Support activities

Primary skills Required: Mainframes, COBOL, PL/1, CICS, JCL, DB2

• Experience with both external and embedded databases
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
