Paid Tax Compliance Internship (flexible part-time OR full-time opportunities)Internship Program Overview:

ITW’s Tax internship program provides exposure to the challenging aspects of either Domestic or International Taxation. Interns are encouraged to think and act like entrepreneurs and are provided responsibility and autonomy to take ownership of projects and complete assigned tasks. ITW’s Tax Compliance Internship Program offers meaningful and hands-on experience designed to develop the skills of our interns under the mentorship of experienced tax professionals. Throughout the internship, interns will receive comprehensive internal training and gain exposure to various tax systems and processes. Interns will be involved in the preparation of federal and state tax compliance filings and work on real-world projects that directly contribute to our team’s goal of successful return filings. Interns will develop a deep understanding of tax regulations and best practices while collaborating with professionals in a dynamic, supportive environment. This winter internship not only provides marketable experience and practical knowledge but also introduces interns to our company’s unique approach to business. Exceptional performance during the internship may lead to a full-time employment offer upon graduation.

Join the ITW Tax team at Corporate Headquarters located in Glenview, IL and have an opportunity to work in various tax and tax-related functions. We are a one-block walk to the nearest Metra station, allowing for an accessible commute to downtown Chicago.Position Summary:

• Flexible Part-time or Full-time work schedule options (minimum of 24 hours / week)

• Position is in-person at ITW’s corporate campus in Glenview, Illinois

• Work within a cross-functional tax department, with a core focus on either Domestic or International Tax compliance. Assignments will include working on analysis, preparing federal forms 1120, 8858, 5471 and various state income tax returns.

• Support state team in the estimated tax payment process by preparing calculations and related payment requisition forms.

• Assist with special projects, including tax planning transactions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting, finance or tax

• Demonstrated academic success

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to analyze and manage complex information and data

• Attention to detail and self-review

• Work independently and in a team

• Computer proficiency with MS Office

Compensation Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00
