Job Description:

Are you a hands-on technician who likes fixing problems, staying organized, and being the go-to person when things need to get done?

Orbitalum, an ITW company, currently has an opening for a Rental Service & Repair Technician in its Austin, Tx rental facility. (Moving closer to Taylor, TX in July 2026). As a Service & Repair Technician, you’ll handle everything from rental equipment management and repairs, shipping/receiving, and computer-based tasks. You’ll also help manage day-to-day building needs, work directly with customers, and prioritize work as situations change.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Perform computer related tasks such as order entry, inventory transactions, and shipping paperwork
• Responsible for rental repairs including installing replacement parts to rebuild rental equipment
• Maintain rental facility, inventory, and the equipment needed to test machines
• Log equipment in and out of the system based on customer info provided
• Able to complete repair estimates for customer-owned equipment
• Communicate with the sales team to understand customer requirements
• Keep area clean and perform all duties in a safe effective and efficient manner
• Additional duties and tasks as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solve as necessary
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and reprioritizing as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS diploma, GED and/or 1 year of relevant experience
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Aptitude with various power tools preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Basic computer skills/knowledge of Word and Excel computer programs
• Occasional travel for training, including overnight stays, may be required.

Compensation Information:

$24 - $33; based on experience
