Job Description:

  • Permatex is currently looking for Order Selector to join our Distribution team. This position is on 2nd Shift, 3pm - 11pm, Monday
  • Friday.

BASIC FUNCTION

Required to accurately pick, check and transport customer orders to designated location in a timely manner.

JOB DUTIES

  • Required to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Flexibility is an expectation of this job, and team members may be asked to work overtime on weekends. All scheduling is dependent upon the distribution schedule and the distribution manager.

  • Responsible for accurately picking customer orders, paying special attention to customer specific requirements.

  • Will utilize R/F technology to fulfill these orders and generate appropriate labels and will also be required to generate appropriate paperwork at times.

  • Will be required to stand/lift /bend the entire shift and able to lift 65 pounds.

  • Must be experienced in driving motorized material handling equipment.

  • Will independently perform housekeeping aisle audits on a routine basis.

  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a team environment

  • Will independently plan work activities and meet daily productivity goals.

  • Must be detail oriented and able to perform basic mathematical functions.

  • Will be required to actively participate in our Safety Program.

  • The selected individual will possess a high school diploma or equivalent with a preferred minimum of 2 years prior picking / warehouse experience.

  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred

  • 2 years of prior picking experience is preferred,

  • Must be experienced in driving powered industrial trucks (PIT)

  • Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.

  • Must recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

  • Must possess the ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

  • Must read and write English and perform simple math calculations.

  • Must be computer literate.

Compensation Information:

$17.85 - $20.00
