Job Description:

Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing mechanical adjustments on assigned machinery. This role also includes inspecting finished products to ensure they meet specifications and making necessary adjustments.

Essential Duties:

• Set up, operate, monitor, and control liquid and bulk filling and packaging machines.
• Follow job tickets and production instructions accurately.
• Make precise machine adjustments during setup, breakdowns, and changeovers.
• Manage component inventory and ensure materials are prepared and available to prevent production delays; perform cycle counts as required.
• Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisory staff immediately.
• Inspect product quality and conformity throughout the production process.
• Properly stack, wrap, and label finished materials on pallets.
• Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
• Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately.
• Replenish supplies using appropriate material-handling equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and good housekeeping practices.
• Comply with all company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months of related manufacturing experience required/preferred.
• Forklift certification required when applicable (may be company-provided).
• Clamp truck certification required when applicable (may be company-provided)

Other Competencies

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use hand tools and gauges to operate fillers, cappers, induction sealers, inkjet printers, labelers, and related equipment.
• Basic math proficiency required.
• Ability to work collaboratively and support cross-training efforts.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work overtime as needed.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and supportive approach with peers.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to move 55-gallon drums or 5-gallon pails manually or with appropriate equipment.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
