Job Description:

Strategy & Goals

Responsible for designing and delivering technical solutions aligned with customer needs, with a strong focus on added value to enhance the overall product offering.

This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams—such as Sales, Operations, and Quality—to ensure integrated and effective solution development.

Acts as a central point of contact across departments, requiring the ability to operate in a multinational environment and coordinate with diverse teams across multiple locations.

Main Tasks and Challenges:

  • Design and develop products based on quality, cost, deadline and industrialization constraints.
  • Production of 3D models and 2D drawings in accordance with customers’ specifications.
  • Main interface to the project manager for the product development through the APQP process.
  • Collaboration with Quality department to the elaboration of DFMEA and validation tests.
  • Part’s prototyping using 3D printing.
  • FEA calculation and report to customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensures the design of the parts is in accordance with customer specifications and feasibility.
  • Contribute to product development by improving existing products to solve customer issues.
  • Support sales team (project managers) in technical meetings with customers.
  • Ensure correct project execution to meet the deadlines.
  • Takes ownership of technical data, guaranteeing its delivery to the client and its continuous maintenance.

THE PERSON - IDEAL PROFIL

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • B.A. / B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or similar. Master’s Degree is a plus.

Experience

  • Plastic injection and/or fastener experience is a must.
  • Experience in Automotive industry is a must.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Design, Tooling, Engineering, R&D, Innovation area is a must.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-function and global teams.
  • Extensive CAD experience – preferable CATIA.
  • FEA simulation knowledge is preferred.

  • Working proficiency in English and French is required.
