  • Providing a friendly retail checkout experience by processing payments quickly and accurately.
  • Following food handling, health, safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintaining the restaurant including merchandising and price communication.
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience by maintaining a clean and safe area.
  • Using your IKEA Food knowledge to exceed customer expectations, confidently answering their questions so they can make informed purchase
    decisions.

What you'll be doing day to day

As a Food Service Team Member ensuring operational excellence of IKEA Food, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept. Adhering to food handling, health, and sustainability standards.
  • Respond to customer inquiries to support informed purchases and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to cash handling
    policies.
  • Maintain equipment operation through adherence to operating guidelines, troubleshooting breakdowns, and conducting preventive and cleaning
    maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean supply of dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and trays that comply with Food Safety Standards.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
  • Manage the Swedish Food Market by overseeing merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and the cleaning and sanitization of sampling equipment
    and areas.
  • Ensure accurate and timely price communication across all food solutions, including digital platforms, menu boards, and shelf tags.
  • Maintain supply rotation and stocking in all IKEA Food solutions, adhering to First In, First Out (FIFO), expiration dates, and sustainability standards.
  • Implements IKEA Food policies and procedures for goods receiving and monthly inventory.
  • Adhere to safe food handling, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, promptly reporting concerns to managers.
  • Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers

The starting hourly pay range for this role is $17.58 - $20.22

JOB TYPE – Permanent, Part-time, Hourly Associate
HOURS – From 12 to 19 hours per week (HL1) // Limited Benefits
SHIFTS– Seeking work schedule availability of Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as a minimum requirement. Work schedules are published one month in advance.
Hours of operation are 10a-7p but the average shifts typically fall from 9a-5p or 12p-8p.
Coworkers must be able to multitask, as well as lift 40+ Pounds.

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 17.58 USD to 20.22 USD and will be based on relevant work experience.
