About this work area
As the Country Requirements Leader for IKEA Australia & New Zealand, you will lead the strategic planning process across our country, actively seeking opportunities to maximise business value and create local relevance. This will be achieved through the collaborative collection and prioritisation of country requirements, in accordance with our Country Retail Plan and working in close collaboration with country retail and global stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- In collaboration with relevant retail partners, lead the strategic planning process for the country, and using this as the catalyst for collecting, identifying, and prioritising pain points and requirements from Unit/Market needs, providing crucial input for retail and digital country plans aligned with strategies and priorities.
- Secure the effective representation of country requirements and prioritisation needs within the Country Portfolio and global planning and product development processes, focusing on high-impact solutions and initiatives that meet business goals and maximise value.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and identify significant business value opportunities through close collaboration with both retail and global stakeholders.
- Continuously improve locally relevant customer experience, co-worker experience, and overall business results by benchmarking and actively monitoring industry developments.
You bring deep knowledge of software, hardware, and voice technologies, understanding market trends, solution architecture, and information flows, alongside practical experience in leading change processes and strategic planning tools. With knowledge of IKEA applications, & processes, you are deeply motivated to contribute to making IKEA more affordable, accessible, and sustainable, driven by a passion for technology and continuous learning. You excel at building trustful relationships, demonstrating independent leadership to make timely decisions, and possess the ability to structure, organise, and delegate work, actively championing new methods and understanding technology's integrated role within IKEA's complex business.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Minimum of 3-5yrs leading strategic planning process
- Minimum of 2-3 years of diverse experience in the product management and technical delivery
- Experience of working with iterative, agile product development and deployment teams
- Experience in managing vendors and partnerships.
Additional information:
- Permanent, full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
- The location for the role is Service Office, Tempe NSW, with a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a national police check.
