Who you are

Think about your home! You know those IKEA products that make your everyday life better? Our sales team assists customers in the purchasing process, helping them identify those products! Those furniture and decoration solutions that will make a positive difference in their home life, based on their needs and dreams.

Have we piqued your curiosity? Great! Let's continue.

At IKEA, we believe that everyone has a talent. Therefore, we expect our candidates to have:

  • A passion for customer service, with confident communication and an available and empathetic approach;
  • An interest in design, furniture and decoration and a willingness to help people with all budgets create their dream home;
  • A focus on understanding customer needs and preferences, presenting tailored and personalized solutions, according to our product and service offerings;
  • A willingness to learn and develop knowledge that allows us to offer an increasingly better experience to our customers, in the context of omnichannel retail;
  • A flexible and receptive approach to change, with initiative and proactivity;
  • We may also value experience in sales or customer support.

A day in your life with us

Did you know that our sales department is organized just like our stores?
We have a lot of departments, like Living Rooms, Dining Areas, Kitchens, Bedrooms, Offices, Children's Rooms, Home Organization, Bathrooms, Textiles, Kitchen Utensils, Lighting, Decoration, and Outdoor Products.

Regardless of the area of the house where they work, sales associates keep everything tidy and organized. In addition, they have the responsibility of actively contributing to IKEA's sales results by:

  • Knowing IKEA products and actively learning their features to present relevant and high-quality solutions to our customers;
  • Being curious. Approaching customers, demonstrating empathy and active listening, asking questions that allow us to explore the needs and dreams of customers, to arrive at the best solutions for their homes;
  • Ensuring that the products and solutions presented in the various sales areas have adequate communication so that customers who prefer can buy independently;
  • Analyzing the capacity of the available sales space, based on system information, to always ensure the availability of items for the customer;
  • Having visibility into how the different IKEA sales channels (stores, planning studios, website and app) can be integrated into the customer's shopping experience, for products and services.

Together as a team

Inspired by our Swedish roots and humanistic vision, at IKEA we have a unique culture. We believe that all people have value, regardless of any dimension of their identity - diversity is an asset to our business.
We value the spirit of unity and informality. Therefore, it is very likely that you will feel at home here!

We really want to create a better everyday life for our customers. And for our co-workers.
So, these are some of the benefits we offer:

  • Co-workers Restaurant: space dedicated to co-workers, with diverse and healthy options, for a complete meal at an affordable price (mouth-watering!)
  • Schedules communicated in advance so that it is easier to reconcile work with your personal life (studies, hobbies, work, or even doing nothing...)
  • Social and psychological support through the CÖNTIGO program;
  • Annual bonus to celebrate the joint effort to grow the business;
  • Discounts and benefits in partnerships: gyms, technology, cosmetics, hotels, travel, etc.;
  • Opportunities for ongoing online, in-class and on-the-job training to explore your potential.

Working at IKEA is much more than a job.
