Job description About the job

Reporting to the Shopkeeper of the respective Home Furnishing department, the Sales Associate provides excellent sales service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring the IKEA basic merchandising standards are met to give customers a positive shopping experience.

Your assignment

  • Ensuring high level of customers’ satisfaction by assessing customers’ needs, providing information and best solution for their homes and any assistance when required;
  • Ensuring the areas in your department is clean and tidy, with items properly displayed, priced and fully stocked following IKEA basic merchandising standards are in placed at all times;
  • Actively steering top selling and prioritized products to maximize sales, convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits as you share this knowledge with customers and colleagues;
  • To maximise sales whilst maintaining profitability by knowing and actively steering towards top-selling products and prioritising overstock/overtag items;
  • Supporting the implementation of planned commercial activities of your department;
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyse and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters (sales location management) to secure high stock availability.

Qualification Your profile

  • You are customer-service oriented and passionate about driving business
  • You are a problem-solver, independent worker and a strong team player
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are physically fit to handle physical work, assemble furniture and standing during retail hours
  • You have passion for Home furnishing and Life at home details.
  • You are able to commit to working on rotating shift work, including on weekends and public holidays
