Your role and responsibilities
As an Ecosystem Sales Manager for the IBM Technology Portfolio, you will lead your Ecosystem sales team to identify, progress, and close opportunities with Business Partners across the entire IBM Technology Portfolio. This includes driving sales efforts across IBM Software and IBM Infrastructure, encompassing multiple platforms and product portfolios. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Sales Team Efforts: Lead the Ecosystem sales team to identify and pursue new sales opportunities with Business Partners, driving revenue growth across the IBM Technology Portfolio.
  • Progress Opportunities: Progress and close opportunities with Business Partners, working closely with the sales team to ensure effective sales strategies and tactics are employed.
  • Drive Sales Growth: Drive sales growth across IBM Software and IBM Infrastructure, including the Data Platform, Automation Platform, Transaction Processing Platform, Hybrid Cloud Platform, Power, Storage, Cloud, TLS, and zHW product portfolios.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners: Collaborate with Business Partners to understand their needs and develop tailored sales solutions that meet their business objectives.
  • Close Deals: Close deals with Business Partners, ensuring that all sales efforts are aligned with IBM's overall sales strategy and goals.

  • Required technical and professional expertise
  • Deep Expertise in Technology Portfolio Sales: Proven experience leading sales teams and driving revenue growth across a broad technology portfolio, including software and infrastructure products.
  • Experience with Multiple Platforms: Experience working with multiple platforms and product portfolios, including data, automation, transaction processing, hybrid cloud, power, storage, cloud, and mainframe technologies.
  • Business Partner Collaboration: Experience collaborating with business partners to understand their needs and develop tailored sales solutions that meet their business objectives.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Experience developing and executing effective sales strategies and tactics to drive sales growth and close deals with business partners.
  • Cross-Portfolio Sales Leadership: Experience leading sales efforts across multiple product portfolios, with a focus on driving revenue growth and meeting sales targets.
  • Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Technology Portfolio Knowledge: Deep understanding of a broad technology portfolio, including software and infrastructure products, with the ability to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Multi-Platform Expertise: Experience working with multiple platforms and product portfolios, including data, automation, transaction processing, hybrid cloud, power, storage, cloud, and mainframe technologies, to drive sales growth and close deals.
  • Business Partner Insight: Ability to collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and develop tailored sales solutions that meet their business objectives, driving revenue growth across the IBM Technology Portfolio.
