Your Role and Responsibilities:
Provide project management of software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z platform
Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals,time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allocation of resources
Analyze the need for and provide the necessary project management for project planning, execution (including the development of project plans)
Report on project activities, changes in scope, challenges and requirements to the leadership team as a strategic tool in keeping implementers and decision makers moving toward consistent, business or mission-focused goals and objectives
Communicate with management internally and at the customer on on going status, milestones, and project risks
Review and analyze process & procedures in order to find opportunities for improvement and increased efficiencies, then help drive implementation of these improvements
Monitor, assess, and improve the effectiveness of program best practices, ensuring continual process and quality improvement with a primary focus onthe client account
This is a hybrid job opportunity which will require some travel to client sites
Your role and responsibilities
As a Client Relationship Manager, you will develop an understanding of the strategic direction of the account as it relates to function and business unit, and participate in tactical service delivery account planning. Your focus will be on client relationship management, delivering on commitments to clients, and achieving financial objectives of profitable revenue growth while creating an environment for growth and innovation. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Manage Client Relationships: Establish, maintain, and improve the client relationship regarding all aspects of the contracted services as the representative of IBM. Ensure service delivery customer satisfaction objectives, contract cost targets, and service level agreements are met and maintain a strong client partnership on C-Level.
- Lead Service Delivery Team: Lead service delivery team according to defined scope of services, statements of works, documents of understanding (DOU), and intercompany agreements (ICA). Effectively meet commitments, identify issues, and recommend appropriate trade-off decisions.
- Develop Account Plans: Participate in strategic account planning, understand client requirements, and assist in setting program objectives. Learn and participate in IBM selling techniques to identify business opportunities with the client.
- Maintain Operational Excellence: Perform service delivery crisis management, maintain an audit-ready posture, and meet all business control requirements. Manage global delivery resources and services, if applicable.
- Drive Customer Satisfaction: Ensure service delivery meets customer satisfaction objectives, and maintain a strong client partnership. Identify opportunities for growth and innovation, and make recommendations to improve service delivery.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred education
Master's Degree - Required technical and professional expertise
- At least five years of technical project management experience
PMP or PRINCE2 certification
Demonstrated knowledge of operations and project management skills
Demonstrated excellent written and communications skills
Experience managing cross-functional technical teams, with overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management
Demonstrated experience creating and managing complicated project plans that span multiple years that leverage client, consulting and 3rd party organization resources
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to organize competing priorities and adapt to change
Preferred technical and professional experience
IBM Z Mainframe experience:
Experience with IBM Z software products
Microsoft Office (Word, PPT) certification
Experience doing application development on IBM Z, including programming languages like Cobol or PL/1 is a plus
