Your role and responsibilities
As a Package Specialist: Generalist, you will utilize your expertise in implementing, integrating, and customizing commercial Independent Software Vendor (ISV) packages. You will apply your technical skills in an internal or external customer billable services and implementation environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Implement Package Solutions: Deliver functional and technical designs, models, components, code, parameters, unit tests, and documentation for ISV packages such as CRM, ERP, Finance, Accounting, or vertical industry-specific packages.
- Integrate Package Components: Integrate package components into existing systems, ensuring seamless functionality and minimal disruptions to business operations.
- Customize Package Functionality: Customize package functionality to meet specific business requirements, utilizing general development knowledge and package-specific expertise.
- Develop Technical Designs: Create technical designs for package implementation, including functional and technical specifications, data models, and system architecture.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful package implementation, providing technical expertise and support as needed.

Strong understanding of core HR operations:
Employee lifecycle management (hire, transfer, termination)
Organizational structures (company, business units, positions)
Experience translating HR policies into system configurations
Participation in end-to-end EC implementations
Ability to conduct workshops and gather business requirements
Knowledge of global HR practices and localization requirements

Configuration of:

Business Rules (rules engine)
Role-Based Permissions (RBP) setup and troubleshooting
Data migration:
Import templates, mass uploads, data validation
Reporting
Preferred technical and professional experience
Global HR & Transformation Experience:
Experience supporting multi-country or global Employee Central implementations
Exposure to HR transformation or digital HR initiatives
Strong understanding of localization requirements, including country-specific compliance, languages, and currencies
Change Management & Training:
Experience supporting organizational change initiatives
Ability to deliver end-user training and create functional documentation
Proven ability to drive system adoption and user engagement
Technical Expertise
Integration & Interfaces:
Hands-on experience with:
SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)
Integration Center
APIs and OData services:
Exposure to integration with:
Payroll systems (SAP or third-party solutions)
Reporting & Analytics:
Experience with:
People Analytics (Story Reports)
Canvas / Advanced Reporting
Ability to generate insights and support HR decision-making through reporting tools
Cross-Module Exposure
Working knowledge of other SAP Success Factors modules, such as:
Onboarding
Compensation:
Understanding of how Employee Central integrates as the core HR system across modules
