Your role and responsibilities
Security Professionals perform one or a combination of disciplines responsible for supporting components of the IBM Corporate Security Program. These components include Supply Chain Security, physical security, business compliance, information protection and incident management; they aid management in protecting people, property and information.
Supply chain security requirements related to Physical Security, including tracking during transfers to the border, and verifying that all controls are in place prior to departure and throughout transit. Coordinate with the logistics provider to ensure these controls are properly implemented and maintained.
The physical security element ensures a safe and secure environment for IBM people and property through a number of measures. Risk analysis proposed and existing IBM sites examines internal and external threats to IBM to aid management in determining where to situate and what, if any, additional security measures are warranted for a given site. These activities also support the business acquisition and divestitures process. Support the installation and maintenance of security equipment and tools, such as high security key systems and badge readers to secure restricted space.
Government contacts typically require a formal liaison to assist IBM in assessing and implementing government security clearance requirements. Act as adviser to the business, government contact and implementer of security clearances.
May also play a role in the dissemination of security educational materials, and the performance of management self-assessment to satisfy business controls requirement. Information is collected and maintained. May be subject to legal, regulatory or corporate policies: practitioners must be aware of all relevant provisions and maintain information accordingly.

Required technical and professional expertise
Physical and Supply Chain Security Experience: Exposure to participating in supply chain security, analyzing incident trends, and developing action plans to ensure timely responses.
Physical Security Regulation Knowledge: Experience working with physical security regulations, understanding their impact on internal applications and deploying implementation plans.
Regulatory Dashboard Development: Exposure to creating and publishing dashboards for regulatory operational activities, providing visibility into compliance metrics.
Security Project Operationalization: Experience working with cross-functional teams to operationalize security projects, translating them into business-as-usual tasks.
Regulatory Guidance Provision: Exposure to providing help and guidance on regulations to physical security, supply chain security.
Proficiency in English:
Preferred technical and professional experience
Management of physical security, security technologies, access controls, and business controls within the security area. Incident investigations and reporting. Compliance with metrics to support business decision-making.
Experience with C-TPAT, OEA, and BASC regulations related to supply chain security, including management and/or implementation.
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Exposure to working with cross-functional teams to operationalize security projects, translating them into business-as-usual tasks and ensuring seamless execution.
