Job Description:

This role is part of the Software Development team for Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) solutions at HPE Networking, specifically supporting HPE/Juniper’s SRX series routers.

Responsibilities:

o Develop cutting-edge platforms for next-gen Firewall

o Collaborate with product management, system test, and solution test teams to ensure delivery of high-quality products and solutions.

o Provide engineering assistance to Juniper’s Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for resolving critical customer escalations in live deployments.

o Contribute to the end-to-end product lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and support.

Education and Experience Required:

o Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

o Experience: 8+ years of software development, with strong exposure to system-level programming.

Knowledge and Skills:

Core Skills:

o Proficiency in C/C++ programming and debugging.

o Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems (user-space processes, kernel, socket programming, IPC).

o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o Ability to work effectively in teams with strong interpersonal skills

Good-to-Have Skills:

o Knowledge of Internet Protocols (TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6).

o Experience in developing software on L3/L4/L7 layers of networking is a Plus

o Knowledge and understanding of Firewalls, Network Security, IoT security, Deep Packet Inspection and related technologies is a Plus
