What You Will Do:
- Design original, high-quality monsters (humanoid and non-humanoid) for mi HoYo’s games, from concept to final in-game implementation.
- Support pre-production R&D by creating monster concepts, animations, and creature variations.
- Lead the artistic pipeline—develop concept art, three-view turnaround drawings, and provide feedback on 3D models, animations, and VFX.
- Ensure artistic consistency across all monster assets by defining style guides and quality standards.
- Adapt designs based on gameplay needs, technical constraints, and player feedback.
- Mentor and guide junior artists, ensuring team output meets project vision.
What You Will Need:
- 2+ years of professional experience in creature/monster design for games (portfolio required).
- Strong artistic foundation in anatomy, form, and color theory, with the ability to merge realism and stylized aesthetics.
- Proficient in digital art tools like Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or SAI.
- Passionate about games, with a deep understanding of creature design in gameplay contexts.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet production deadlines.
