The Technical Support Group in Honeywell Connected Industrial (HCI) is responsible for supporting the customer base worldwide. The team consists of over 90 highly skilled engineers with many years of experience in advanced process technologies, located throughout the world.

This team supports the Honeywell APC and CPM product lines. CPM is used to monitor the performance of regulatory and advanced process control applications. It is used globally by operating companies like Shell, Georgia Pacific, Aramco, ADNOC, Irving Oil and Covestro.
This is a thriving and fast-growing business within Honeywell and offers the successful candidate good career potential within a global leader in the industry.

POSITIONS SCOPE:

  • This is a global position. The scope will cover the global customer base but with a focus on customers in EMEA/AP.
  • Travel: 10%, within EMEA/AP region
  • No. of direct reports: None

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • High customer satisfaction levels as measured in the customer satisfaction survey
  • Ability to resolve customer issues within an agreed Service Level

ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS REQUIRED / SOUGHT

  • Strong interest in developing a career in the control performance monitoring field

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written technical communication & presentation skills

  • Customer focused mentality

  • EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIRED -

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Chemical/Process/Control/Instrumentation Engineering or a closely related field

  • Eight-Ten years relevant experience – use of CPM tools. Ideally some industrial experience – knowledge of refinery processes (separation/reactors), process automation, PID control desirable

  • Fluent in English; additional languages an asset

  • Provide product and application support for external customers

  • Provide management of customer problems by excellent communication, responsive follow up and advocacy of customer issues within Honeywell

  • Collaborate closely with the other members of the team both locally and globally to solve customer problems and to exchange knowledge and best practices

  • Contribute text and video-based entries to the online Knowledge Base and monthly customer newsletter

  • Participate in review and testing of new releases to ensure customer issues are resolved

  • Deliver customer training and provide technical support to the sales organization

  • Assist the APC/CPM/PBM Team Leader to develop and implement strong teamwork processes and standards

  • Share knowledge and best practices within the team.

  • Act as a technical mentor for less experienced team members
