Hardware Engr II

The Engineer will work in a global team and be required to specify, design and develop innovative and reliable analogue, digital designs to satisfy functional specifications that are fit for production at lowest cost. The position will be fully responsible for the developments and designs for industry automation systems and instruments in conjunction with global teams. To ensure quality, it is essential that at every stage of the program, the appropriate documents are created and maintained in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in Automation, Electronic, Instrument, or Communication
• 3+ years (Master)/5+ years(Bachelor) post graduate experience in producing hardware designs for volume manufacturing
• Good planning skills
• Self-motivated and team oriented personality
• Good English communication (speaking and writing) skill
• Interested in working in fast paced, global business environment
• Able to work and travel in global collaborating environment with intensive challenges

Responsibilities:

• Research and Development for industry automation systems - controller, input/output modules and field instruments.
• Participate in all stages of development from requirements analysis, concept design, detail design, prototype build, qualification, ECN release under a tight release schedule
• Perform root cause analyses
• At request, support Sales & Service, Marketing and Operations in the form of advice and analysis
• Write documents, including internal development documents and user documents
• Estimating, planning, and executing of technical tasks
• Continuously strive to improve the development process and to assure its quality

Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of microcontroller and microprocessor designs
• Excellent understanding of analogue, digital and power supply design fundamentals.
• Experience in designing and testing for EMC
• CAD using Mentor Graphic tool or equivalent
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and understanding of the oil and gas industries and relevant standards for intrinsic explosion safety (a.o. ATEX) is a very strong advantage
• Hands-on FPGA/CPLD programming experience is a plus.
• Hands-on firmware development experience is also preferred and a plus.
