
Senior Technical Product Owner
About the role
The Advanced Product Owner (PO) for the MB portfolio is a high‑impact role responsible for owning and driving product execution across a complex, multi‑product security ecosystem that includes hardware, firmware, embedded software, and system‑level integrations.
While we are ideally seeking candidates with significant experience in this field (8+ years), we recognize that exceptional candidates with less experience may also be considered based on their specific skills and characteristics.
The MB portfolio is a growing system‑level product line, including intrusion and access control panels, I/O modules, readers, keypads and other peripheral devices. Individual projects within this framework require coordinated releases aligned with the ecosystem, synchronized with PAC/PG Gates and beta programs.
This role serves as the execution backbone between Offering Management and Engineering, translating product vision into prioritized, delivery‑ready backlogs for multiple teams.
- 8+ years of experience in software/system product development or technical support (less experience may be considered for exceptional candidates).
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in complex, multi‑team environments.
- Experience working with hardware‑software integrated systems (embedded, firmware).
- Strong Agile / SAFe product ownership expertise.
- Strong expertise in using Jira for requirement management and decomposition.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; German would be an advantage.
Nice to have:
- Background in physical security, intrusion detection, access control, or similar regulated domains.
- Experience in cybersecurity, certification, or compliance‑driven product environments.
- Experience working in global, distributed engineering organizations.

- Own and manage end‑to‑end product backlogs for MB portfolio components (panels, peripherals, ecosystem features).
- Translate customer, offering, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements into clear epics, features, and user stories.
- Drive system‑level execution across interdependent products, teams, and release trains.
- Support PI planning, Beta readiness, and gate milestones.
- Coordinate defect triage, risk mitigation, and release readiness activities.
- Act as the interface between Engineering, QA, Cybersecurity, Certification, Documentation, and Offering teams.
- Participate in portfolio reviews, stakeholder syncs, and release planning forums.
