As a Project Director(Sr Program Manager) at Honeywell, you will lead the successful delivery of a major greenfield investment project in Nysa, Poland. This is a full‑time,on‑site role(Mon–Fri) on a6–12 month contract, with the potential to continue with Honeywell after project completion. You will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, leading and developing the local operations team, and acting as the primary point of contact for Honeywell leadership, general contractors, and local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead Honeywell’s local operations team, providing strong people management, coaching, and professional development to a team of five Project Managers, each overseeing their own technical domain and administrative stuff.

  • Oversee the full project portfolio, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with Honeywell standards and customer expectations.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both the local team and Honeywell senior management, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and escalation management.

  • Direct the execution of complex construction and Building Automation integrated projects, including BMS, Fire, Security.

  • Manage project budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control, ensuring commercial targets are met and financial risks are mitigated.

  • Contract management, including negotiation, compliance, performance monitoring, and resolution of contractual issues.

  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure seamless project delivery across engineering, construction, and technology disciplines.

  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule, quality, and safety standards.

  • Ensure all project activities comply with regulatory requirements, Honeywell policies, and industry best practices.

  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on project status, risks, resource needs, and strategic recommendations.

  • Drive continuous improvement across project management processes, operational efficiency, and team capability.

  • Represent Honeywell in meetings with clients, authorities, contractors, and internal stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships and protecting organizational interests.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Extensive experience as a Project Director, leading large‑scale, complex initiatives.

  • Proven track record delivering greenfield investment projects and background in the construction industry.

  • 15+ years of project management experience, including responsibility for budgeting, resource planning, scheduling, forecasting, and overall project delivery.

  • Fluent English is required; proficiency in the local language is an advantage.

  • Experience with BMS, Fire Safety, and Security Systems is highly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Information Technology.

  • Additional qualifications in Project Management are desirable (PM/PMP certifications); further education in management or related fields is an advantage.

  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to build, manage, and motivate multiple teams.

  • Ability to successfully deliver against multiple, concurrent objectives in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated commercial and contractual acumen, with experience managing vendors, contracts, and negotiations.
