About the role

As a Materials Management Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of the materials management process and team. Your primary objectives will include optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our production schedules. You will use your leadership and management skills, deep understanding of inventory management systems, and a strategic approach to sourcing and procurement.

In this role, you will impact and improve the supply chain planning & execution process within the SBG business. You will execute the vision and goals for your Materials Planning function and manage the people and processes to achieve excellence in SIOP, supply planning, inventory & replenishment planning management, and resolution of supply chain issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1st shift 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday
  • Friday
  • Develop and implement comprehensive materials management strategies aligned with the companys overall objectives
  • Lead procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management
  • Oversee inventory levels, minimizing excess or obsolete stock while ensuring an uninterrupted flow of materials to meet production requirements
  • Manage the logistics and distribution processes, coordinating with transportation providers to optimize delivery schedules
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal departments such as production, quality control, and finance
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the materials management function

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 2+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes.
  • 4+ years of experience managing, motivating, and guiding a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in Materials Management, Operations, SIOP, Inventory Management, MRP MPS, Procurement Logistics, and Manufacturing.
  • Good knowledge of material control systems such as MRP/SAP systems.
  • APICS or CPIM Certification.
  • Project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in leading/driving change.
