Honeywell’s Security and Access Solutions business provides high-value security products and services that are critical for buildings around the globe. Building operators and security teams across dynamically evolving verticals depend on our mobile- and cloud-enabled technologies for access control, intrusion detection, and locking solutions to help create safer and more efficient facilities.

You will be joining one of our most strategic initiatives to build a cloud-based software-as-a-service unified security solution supporting access control, video, and monitoring capabilities. As part of the engineering team, you will work in a continuous delivery environment and contribute to features that directly impact our customers daily.

You will participate in feature planning and design sessions, implement software solutions, assist with test plans and documentation, and maintain those solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong functional programming skills.

YOU MUST HAVE

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related major; significant technical experience can be substituted.
• 3-5 years of experience in software development or engineering capacity.
• Experience with JavaScript,**Typescript **technologies including Node.js and React.
• Experience / Knowledge with cloud platforms **(Azure, AWS, GCP)**and serverless architecture.
• Working knowledge of the JavaScript language and functional programming.
• Experience building on RESTful web services.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Desire to continuously improve and grow as an engineer, learning new languages and technology as requirements evolve.

• Familiarity with continuous integration practices, unit testing, and automated integration testing.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, network security, automation tools, and system analysis.
• Experience building scalable solutions with zero-downtime deployment.
