Mechanical Engineer II- Conveyor System Design & Estimating
You will report directly to our Sr Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Mason, OH location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Come work with a collaborative cross-functional team that is designing and innovating. In this role, you will collaborate with both sales and customers to understand project requirements, then meet those needs through mechanical designs – for both new conveyor systems and modifications to existing systems. You will take ownership of your design throughout the pre-sale process, coordinating a cross-functional team through cost estimating, proposal document creation and leadership approvals.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate customer needs to usable design requirements
- Design systems utilizing Honeywell standard offerings and outside purchased products
- Balance design optimization with customer budgetary constraints
- Ensure cost and schedule estimates are consistent with historical company performance
- Assist in writing proposals that are both technically correct and easily readable by customers
- Support Sales in customer meetings throughout proposal cycle
