As a Sr Software Engineering Manager for Anthem flight management and flight controls here at Honeywell, you will provide visionary leadership for the software engineering department within the Electronic Solutions sector. You will oversee the delivery of a portfolio of software projects, managing resources and priorities effectively. Your role will involve driving the execution of the software engineering roadmap, promoting innovation, and ensuring competitive capabilities by staying ahead of market and industry standards.

In this role, you will impact the strategic direction of systems and software engineering for integrated product teams on the Honeywell Anthem program, ensuring the successful delivery of software solutions that align with the company's objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS:

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

  • 8+ years of experience leading software development projects

  • Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines

  • background and experience with integrated avionics systems

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members

  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles
