As a Sustaining Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our software applications and systems to ensure their optimal performance and functionality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, implement bug fixes, and develop new features. Your expertise in both front-end and back-end development will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

You will report directly to our Sustaining Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Costa Mesa, CA location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the success of our software applications by ensuring their stability, reliability, and scalability. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Your contributions will play a key role in delivering exceptional user experience and driving customer satisfaction.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of experience in full stack software development
  • Expert level with C# and .Net
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular
  •  Expert level knowledge of DBMS fundamentals and T-SQL
  • Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • Expert level knowledge of Angular
  • Experience with mobile development
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Secure coding principles

The annual base salary range for this position is $102,100 - $135,000.  Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
