The Project Lead will be responsible for the overall leadership, governance, and successful delivery of large‑scale IBMS projects within Honeywell Building Automation. This role provides strategic, commercial, and operational oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with Honeywell standards, customer expectations, and contractual obligations.

The role interfaces extensively with customers, consultants, main contractors, internal BA engineering teams, subcontractors, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Project Leadership & Governance:

  • Provide end‑to‑end leadership for complex IBMS / BAS programmes, including BMS, ELV systems integration, analytics, cybersecurity, and digital solutions.
  • Establish and enforce project governance, escalation paths, decision frameworks, and reporting structures.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for project outcomes.

2.

Commercial & Contract Management:

  • Own full P&L responsibility for assigned projects.
  • Lead contract reviews, risk assessments, and commercial strategies in collaboration with legal, finance, and sales teams.
  • Manage variations, claims, negotiations, and dispute resolution with customers and partners.
  • Ensure adherence to Honeywell commercial policies and approval processes.

3.

Customer & Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with customers, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure contractual deliverables and performance KPIs are met.

4.

Delivery & Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Ensure compliance with Honeywell quality standards, design guidelines, cybersecurity requirements, and safety policies.
  • Drive standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement in IBMS project delivery.

5. Risk, Safety & Compliance

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project, technical, commercial, and schedule risks proactively.
  • Drive good HSE culture, ensuring zero‑incident and full compliance with local regulations and Honeywell safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and internal audit requirements.

6.

Resource & Capability Management:

  • Lead and mentor Project Managers, Engineering Managers, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, competency development, and succession planning for IBMS delivery capability.
  • Drive collaboration across BA, software, digital, and service teams.

7.

Strategy & Business Support:

  • Support BA leadership in bid strategy, major tenders, and customer solutioning for IBMS opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to product, engineering, and deployment teams to shape future IBMS offerings and tools.
  • Contribute to regional BA growth strategy and execution plans.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Automation, or related discipline)
  • MBA or Project Management certification is an advantage
  • 10 years experience in Building Automation / IBMS / Smart Buildings
  • Proven track record delivering large, complex, multi‑year projects (e.g. airports, hospitals, campuses, commercial developments)
  • Strong background in BMS, systems integration, commissioning, and digital building solutions
  • Extensive experience in contractual and commercial management
