About the role

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Education:

Bachelor's degree or above with a strong technical background in fields like computers or software, Automation Control, or HVAC equipment etc.

  • Experience (The "Dual-Track" Requirement):

At least 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or engineering essential technical functions. Candidates must come from ONE

of the following two tracks: -Track A (The Domain Expert):

Deep background in Automation Controls, Building Automation Control, IBMS etc., with a proven track record of selling complex system integration projects and a strong desire/ability to transition towards software and data-driven solution sales.

  • Track B (The Digital Innovator):

Strong background in B2B enterprise sales for IoT Platforms, SaaS/PaaS, Cloud/Edge Computing, or Industrial Digitalization, with the ability to quickly grasp OT (Operational Technology) concepts.

  • Technical Acumen:

Be able to understand software architecture and features deeply, and be able to explain them in both technical and general terms.

  • Soft Skills:

Good communication skills; customer-driven and service attitude. Strong leadership, self-managed, good teamwork, proactive, and strong execution.

  • Bonus Qualifications:

Passion for Niagara technology is a plus; IT and Software background is a highly valued plus

Essential Job Functions

  • Business Development:

Develop new business opportunities, including new customers, new vertical markets, new products, and new channels. Prioritize opportunities, execute, and convert them into real business.

  • Value-Based Selling:

Shift the sales dialogue from pure hardware specifications to "Data Assets," "TCO/ROI," and "Anti-Vendor Lock-in," positioning Niagara as the core data infrastructure for end customers.

  • Market Expertise:

Be an expert with respect to the vertical market, including focused market/industry, product, technology, and competitive landscape.

  • Channel Enablement:

Brief and train customers and partners in targeted markets and industries , developing collateral material as required to sell and service offerings.
