As an Estimator II (Proposal Engineer BMS HVAC Electrical) at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting the estimation process and playing a crucial role in determining technical solutions and project costs for building automation and controls projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements, analyze project plans and specifications, and develop accurate cost estimates for building solutions projects.

You will report directly to our Estimating Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Bucharest, Romania location on a 3/2 Hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support the estimation process for building solutions projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Design and review the technical solution for implementation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and develop cost estimates

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and identify potential risks

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs

• Review and validate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy

• Participate in bid review meetings and present cost estimates to senior management

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Experience in any of proposal design, estimating, technical design, technical support, engineering or commissioning

• Knowledge of buildings or industrial systems, electrical or mechanical installations

• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools

• Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings

• Fluent in English
