As a EMC Test Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible with performing EMC and radio tests according to internal specifications and international commercial and industrial standards while ensuring adherence to deadlines and full management of project related test activities. You will report directly to our Mech Design Eng Manager and you’ll work out of our Lugoj, Timis location on an On-Site work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform EMC and radio tests according to internal specifications and international commercial and industrial standards
Development of EMC requirements from legislation and top-level system specification
Create test setups for various products and standards in alignment for EMC requirements
Supporting the hardware team to find solutions for EMC optimization by improving schematics and layouts
Create final test reports (primarily in English)
Plan and manage project workflows, including test plans, test conditions, commissioning of test units, and project documentation
Ensure adherence to deadlines and full management of project related test activities
Communicate test progress and results to internal customers, project management
simplification.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or equivalent, Master is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience in EMC testing
Solid understanding of, and experience in, the field EMC, radio measurement technology and systems analysis. (0Hz-100GHz)
Professional experience in testing, including Fire product standards, IEC / EN Generic standards. WLAN, Bluetooth, ETSI is desirable – nice to have
Experience in calibration of an EMC test facility is essential
Strong problem solving and teamwork skills, plus analytical capabilities
