About the role

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or relevant degree or above in Engineer associated, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field.
  • Professional safety certifications are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory hazards, HSE management, and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with Chinese HSE regulations and ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.

Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in laboratory safety, EHS, or HSE roles.
  • Experience in R&D, electronics, engineering, or life sciences Safety & Environments preferred.
  • Experience in multinational or regulated environments is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development,implementation.and maintenance of laboratory safaty programs,policies and procedures.
  • Ensure saft handing, storage,use and disposal of chemicals , and any hazardous or nonhazardous material according to Company police and local regulatory requirments.
  • Develop and deliver laboratory safety training programs.
  • Complete the HSE related communications.
  • Lead investigation of lab incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Implement the contractor management safety
  • Conduct routine HSE related work, including waste management, environmental monitoring and industrial hygiene monitoring, etc.
  • Maintain laboratory emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills.
  • Plan and conduct laboratory safety inspections and internal audits.
  • Collaborate with R&D, QA, Facilities, and external service providers.
  • Serve as the laboratory safety subject matter expert for audits and inspections.
  • Cooperate with other team work.
