About the role
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or relevant degree or above in Engineer associated, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field.
- Professional safety certifications are an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory hazards, HSE management, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with Chinese HSE regulations and ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in laboratory safety, EHS, or HSE roles.
- Experience in R&D, electronics, engineering, or life sciences Safety & Environments preferred.
- Experience in multinational or regulated environments is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development,implementation.and maintenance of laboratory safaty programs,policies and procedures.
- Ensure saft handing, storage,use and disposal of chemicals , and any hazardous or nonhazardous material according to Company police and local regulatory requirments.
- Develop and deliver laboratory safety training programs.
- Complete the HSE related communications.
- Lead investigation of lab incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Implement the contractor management safety
- Conduct routine HSE related work, including waste management, environmental monitoring and industrial hygiene monitoring, etc.
- Maintain laboratory emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills.
- Plan and conduct laboratory safety inspections and internal audits.
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, Facilities, and external service providers.
- Serve as the laboratory safety subject matter expert for audits and inspections.
- Cooperate with other team work.
