We have an opportunity for a Sr Procurement Buying Supervisor to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will oversee strategic procurement activities, ensure cost-effectiveness, mentor a team, manage complex projects, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve objectives.

You will play a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, manage complex procurement projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives.

In this role, you will impact the company by overseeing complex procurement projects, managing a team of professionals, and establishing robust supplier relationships, directly impacting our financial well-being and quality standards.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Oversee complex procurement projects
  • Provide guidance to procurement team
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers
  • Monitor procurement costs
  • Maintain supplier relationships
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies
  • Establish quality control standards
  • Manage procurement budget
  • Leverage technology solutions for procurement processes

Key skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale procurement operations
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to drive change and lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Continuous learning and self-development
