Role Summary

We’re looking for a motivated Software Engineer with hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails for backend development and automation testing using Selenium and Python. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable web services and build/maintain automated test suites that ensure quality and speed.

Must-Have Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in software development/testing.

• Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails (models, controllers, views).

• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript for basic UI development.

• Proficiency in Python and Selenium for automation.

• Good understanding of Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).

• Basic SQL skills with PostgreSQL/MySQL.

Good-to-Have

• Experience with RSpec/Minitest for Rails unit/integration tests.

• API testing tools: Postman.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience in development of backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails.

• Working knowledge of Ruby 3.2 on Rails 7.0 and Puma 5.0 is ideal

• Experience in building UI views using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript within Rails (ERB templates).

• Extensive experience with Linux Ubuntu platforms, Selenium, API, Robot Framework, and Playwright

• Proficient in Python, Groovy, TypeScript, JavaScript & C#

• Strong expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL

• Solid experience with Jenkins and GitHub

• Experience in code debugging and maintaining code quality.

• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines and track defects.

• Work collaboratively in Agile teams with developers, QA, and DevOps.

• Leverage GitHub Copilot / Microsoft 365 Copilot to accelerate development, improve code quality, and boost productivity in both Ruby on Rails and Python-based automation.

• Employ AI for test case creation, test data generation, and improving coverage for both UI and API test suites.

• Use AI tools to perform intelligent code reviews, identify potential bugs, optimize logic, and suggest improvements.
