At Honeywell – Olathe, we produce the Avionics products that help keep Air Travel safe for commercial and business travelers. In this role, you will identify, design, develop, and improve processes and requirements as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. You will be a technical focal point for a subset of Olathe’s products and processes, and part of a broader Honeywell Aerospace advanced manufacturing engineering team creating solutions that meet the dynamic needs of our products. By collaborating with internal customers and broader engineering teams, you will help to influence manufacturing cost, yield, and schedule execution. You will partner with technical experts, to leverage advanced tools and techniques to optimize manufacturing processes and deliver high impact business results.

THE BUSINESS UNIT
Electronic Solutions provides a wide range of electronic products and value-adding services to Honeywell Aerospace customers, including aircraft manufacturers and operators, and agencies of the U.S. government. The business develops and manufactures 3D Weather Radar systems, Collision Avoidance systems, Communication & Navigation systems and Data Recorders. It also manages and operates facilities for the Federal government. Every 5 seconds, an aircraft lands with Honeywell Equipment on-board. The entire fleet of U.S military fighters and trainers use Honeywell Cabin Pressure Systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or engineering technology.
- 2+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing methodologies.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
WE VALUE
- Engineering degrees like EE (Electrical Engineering), EET (Electrical Engineering Technology) or equivalent.
- Experience in driving process improvements and achieving results.
- Proficiency in electronics troubleshooting.
- Experience using project management skills and ability to think strategically.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in advanced manufacturing.
