We are searching for the best talent for Staff Engineer Technical Life Cycle Management for Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez.
Purpose:
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson &Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
-
Must know & follow EES policies & procedures related to work activities performed in areas of
responsibility & assure that direct reports know & follow EES policies & procedures related to work
activities performed in area of responsibility. -
Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time period. Training is required for changes and implementation of existing policies and procedures, for new assignments, etc. Complete required re-training in areas such as safety and environmental.

Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within work area. Promote safety to all associates that enter work area.

Responsible for the execution of projects focused on reducing design related product variation that
positively influence the company's business metrics, strategic directions & financial results. -
Responsible for assuring projects are well scoped, remain focused, follow the PE process, and that
timely progress is being made towards completion. Use the Project Management Mastery principles to identify risks, issues and scope changes in assigned project execution. -
Maintain active project plans for significant projects throughout the year such as design changes and cost improvement projects. Conduct regular reviews as necessary with the team and management as well as drive adherence to the schedule.

Identify, plan and execute cost improvement projects in support of supply chain objectives.

Sustain supply chain continuity by qualifying and validating supplier tooling as per component approval procedures.

Ensures closure to component non-conformance issues with timely corrective action submission and approval of suppliers control plans.

Manages assigned NCR’S and CAPA’S, completes actions by due dates and provides periodic updates to management.

Follow established Design Variability Roadmap (DMAIIC process) in the execution of projects.

Act as Development Engineer for component or equipment change coordination, development and
validation, new product stabilization, as assigned. -
Responsible for maintaining alignment and communication between stakeholders.

Manage project spending to meet objectives within forecasted budget.

Maintain technical expertise and familiarity with engineering, statistical, and predictive computer-based tools.

Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all
Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources
needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable. -
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Level of Responsibility:
May serve as a lead Operations engineer on a development/revision of a product of significant complexity, or contribute significant, unique expertise across multiple product lines to systematically reduce design-induced variation in our products, creating sustainable improvements. Is viewed by the organization as a role model in demonstrating the behaviors outlined in the Standards of Leadership. Is an authority in a specific technical field, exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments. Work is generally expected to result in the development of new or refined equipment, materials, processes, products and/or technical methods.
Qualifications / Requirements:

University/ Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

Knowledge and skills to successfully develop this position´s responsibilities.

6-8 years of experience related to the position. AND college education complete

Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.

Possesses skills in team dynamics, ability to work cross functionally and obtain collaboration between multiple functional groups.

Effective communication skills, writing, oral and presentation.

Strong project management principles: ability to lead diverse teams at remote sites executing projects.

Knowledge of Component Manufacturing processes, preferably: (Product Engineer and Design Engineer):
o Plastic Injection Molding
o Metal Injection Molding (MIM)
o Metal Stamping and Forming
o Machining
o Casting
o Electronic PCBA’s -
Knowledge and Experience of Design/Manufacturing Methodologies, preferably: (Product Engineer and Design Engineer):
o DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly)
o Design for Six Sigma
o Process Six Sigma
o Design of Experiments (DOE)
o Problem Solving Techniques
o Risk Analysis, DFMEA / PFMEA / AFMEA (Failure Mode Evaluation & Analysis)
o Statistical Analysis (i.e. SPC, GR&R, ANOVA, Regression Analysis, Capability Analysis).
o Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)
o Tooling Methodologies
o Assembly process & equipment development.
o Metrology & Gage Development.
o General Design Engineering Principles. -
Knowledge and Experience in Design Analysis, preferably:
o Computer Aided Design, Manufacturing and Engineering (Solid Modeling).
o FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
o Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
o Product Design and Development (assemblies and components). -
Knowledge and Experience in Process Transfer and Validations:
o Installation Qualification
o Operational Qualifications
o Performance Qualifications -

Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database applications.
