Reports to: Director HR Advisory (APAC)

Location: Bangalore, India

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner (HRBP) and/or HR Generalist, supporting managers and employees across multiple functions and business groups.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed HR organization and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including HR Shared Services, HR Centers of Excellence (Co Es), Talent Acquisition, and business leaders.
  • Strong understanding of Indian employment laws and HR practices.
  • Experience working in a regional or multi-country HR environment preferred.
  • Experience with HR systems and analytics platforms.
  • Preferred experience partnering with leaders and managers from diverse functions, including Commercial (Technical Sales, Pre-Sales, Sales Support), Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and other business functions.
  • Strong capability to influence, coach, and advise managers at different organizational levels on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enable and drive adoption of HR systems (e.g., HCM, HR Direct) and promote manager self-service capability.
  • Act as primary HR advisor to managers, providing guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Coach and upskill managers to enhance their capability in managing teams, including performance conversations, engagement, and development planning.
  • Provide advisory support in performance management processes including goal setting, performance reviews, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to expedite hiring processes, including position validation, offer alignment, and escalation management.
  • Monitor HR metrics and insights to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations to the business.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex HR issues and collaborate with HR Services and Co Es to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support employee relations matters and investigations, ensuring fair, compliant, and consistent outcomes.
  • Work closely with regional HR and CoE teams to execute critical HR assignments and ensure consistency and alignment of HR practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify HR processes, enhance user experience, and increase operational efficiency.

  • Manager self-service adoption rate
  • Cycle completion rates for performance management (HPD/PDS etc.)
  • Reduction in HR escalations due to improved manager capability
  • Employee relations case resolution effectively and within scope of authority
  • Hiring process efficiency (time-to-fill support and escalation handling)
  • Stakeholder satisfaction scores (manager feedback)
