QUALIFICATION: Bachelors / Master’s degree in mechanical / Electrical Electronics Engineering. PMP or equivalent certification preferred. EXPERIENCE: 5 plus years with at least 2 years of Project management experience. Preferably experienced in leading globally distributed cross discipline teams with more emphasis on multidisciplinary hardware NPD environment
Meticulous planning, executing to the plan by rigorous tracking to meet all key milestone dates Accurate status reporting of control metrics and Earned value management metrics (CPI, SPI, EV).Effective management of all stakeholders Provide accurate and timely project status information, milestones, and metrics to key stakeholders Ensure projects/tasks are delivered on time and that they meet financial, performance, quality, and reliability goals Manage project team and facilitate communications within team to meet program objectives Deploy and leverage Program Management Tools (JIRA/Accolade)Directing and developing the establishment & execution of detailed plans to ensure risk mitigation and opportunities realization On schedule delivery of VE projects meeting phase gates as per specification and on budget.Understand VE mandatory & non-mandatory deliverables, process in-detail, and drive all VE programs as per Process Lead, manage, and collaborate with cross-functional/global teams effectively to meet the objectiveESSENTIAL PM SKILLS Ability to understand whole system/business perspective, identify and early escalation of risks at the right time Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction for the development team. Good knowledge and experience in basic PM areas like Cost, Time, Risk, and Integration Management Experienced in Earned Value Management Good experience in managing Multidisciplinary programs Need to have at least 2 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary global NPI’s & NPI phases Expert in usage of Microsoft project/any other scheduling tools Ability to set judicious expectations and manage them with key stakeholdersESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP and SOFT SKILLS:Ability to make data based judicious commitments Ability to forecast issues and have the courage to escalate to the appropriate level till an adequate resolution is achieved Ability to say “NO” when required Excellent problem solving, Influencing, Negotiate skills and good interpersonal relationship skills Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers at all organizational levels Exercise clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in different operating environments Skillful in handling tough situations with both internal and external groups; win concessions without damaging relationships; be both direct and forceful as well as diplomatic; gains trust quickly of other parties; has a good sense of timing.Ability to motivate and inspire to get results Ability to exercise balance between assertive, aggressive, supportive, and coercive styles of leadership to achieve program results Fast learning curve to absorb the domain knowledge Ability to mentor & coach the team on project management
