As General Manager for Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) Projects Europe, you will hold a key leadership role in shaping and delivering the strategic growth agenda of our European projects business. You will be responsible for the region’s full commercial and operational performance, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality construction and contracting projects that strengthen long-term customer relationships while meeting strong financial and contractual expectations.

In this position, you will lead a large, multi‑country organization with full P&L accountability, driving execution excellence and collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes. Operational discipline, customer satisfaction, and proactive issue resolution are central to the success of this role.

The remit spans the entire European region, and we are seeking candidates based in ideally Germany or the UK.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in developing and executing growth strategies within a project‑based business, ideally within building automation, industrial automation, engineering, or similarly complex technical environments. You combine commercial acumen with strong operational capability and have a proven ability to translate market opportunities into actionable, results‑driven strategies.

A customer‑centric and people‑focused leadership style is essential. You will build trust both internally and externally, develop and elevate teams, and drive performance across multiple countries within a complex matrix organization.

This role offers an outstanding opportunity for a strategic, commercially minded, and operationally strong leader to significantly shape the future direction and success of Honeywell’s European projects business.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in guidance, strategy deployment, operations, business management, sales, or program management
  • Senior‑level experience in an advisory or leadership capacity (e.g., Sales Leader or General Manager)
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth and strong financial performance for an independently managed business
  • Proven ability to plan for succession and develop high‑performing commercial or sales leaders
  • Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of balance sheets, P&L management, cash flow, and working capital levers
  • Experience implementing and managing a Financial Pulse Management Operating System (MOS) as well as a Sales MOS
  • Extensive leadership experience with full P&L accountability
  • Strong background in sales and operations
  • Industry experience in a relevant technical or project‑based environment (highly desirable)
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Proven capability to build, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams
  • Strong process‑ and results‑orientation
  • Ability to lead change through continuous learning and adaptation
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of exceeding performance objectives

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the regional P&L for the business and deliver strong top‑line revenue and EBITDA performance
  • Build and maintain a robust management operating system to ensure efficient processes, operational productivity, effective cost management, and improved profitability
  • Partner with Offering Management to shape branding and market‑penetration strategies and strengthen market demand for core offerings
  • Define and execute the product and technology roadmap to address the unique needs of customers in a differentiated and competitive way
  • Align operations, sourcing, and finance functions to a unified vision and deliver best‑in‑class performance in on‑time delivery, quality, and customer service
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment to drive the ongoing growth and competitiveness of the business
  • Lead capital allocation strategies that support regional growth objectives
  • Ensure strong compliance, accurate forecasting, and operational discipline
  • Mitigate contractual risks and prevent penalties through effective oversight
  • Reduce legal and internal costs through proactive and efficient contract administration
