About the role
A Sales Manager analyses local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.
What will I be doing?
As Sales Manager, you will analyse local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards\:
Experience in hotel sales, including management of groups, corporate accounts, associations, federations, and events.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to effectively close business opportunities.
- Strong prospecting skills and ability to generate new business opportunities within assigned markets.
- Goal-oriented with strong focus on achieving sales targets, budgets, and commercial results.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with current and potential clients.
- Experience managing negotiations with senior executives and participating in strategic decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of the associations, federations, and corporate market segment (contacts, databases, networking, and industry events).
- Excellent organizational, planning, and sales follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.
- Highly commercial, dynamic, proactive profile focused on revenue generation for the hotel.
- Excellent service attitude toward clients and Team Members.
- High level of commitment, initiative, autonomy, and sense of urgency.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent professional presentation and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt, demonstrate resilience, and handle commercial objections effectively.
- Strong interpersonal relationship management and strategic networking skills.
- Minimum English level\: B2.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in international brand hotels or within the hospitality/tourism industry.
- Responsible, organized, punctual individual with strong productivity orientation and follow-up on commercial KPIs.
