The Sales team is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to sell and service all social events—from weddings and birthday parties to receptions, cocktail hours, and more! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests. Be their go-to person for making every celebration unforgettable!
What will I be doing?
As a Catering Sales Manager, you would be responsible for representing the hotel’s services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Target and solicit new catering business through lead generation, face-to-face prospecting, and relationship referrals
- Design, develop, and sell creative catered events
- Develop existing business to uncover additional revenue opportunities
- Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food & beverage
- Respond to incoming catering opportunities
- Perform site visits, both scheduled and on-demand
- Assist with the forecasting all revenue catering revenue categories
- Participate in the development and implementation of the vanity site for weddings
- Handle customer compliments and complaints through distribution and resolution
- Stay on top of industry trends making recommendations to the sales and catering teams
- Work closely with the Event Manager to ensure all event details are communicated
- Travel primarily outside the hotel to initiate new sales, solicit leads, hold conferences and make sales proposals and presentations
- Determine rates and negotiate contracts

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Sales experience within the hotel industry

Catering Sales Management experience with a focus on weddings

Familiarity with Delphi.fdc
-
A passion for sales and a drive to achieve targets and objectives

Degree-level qualification in a relevant field

Proven experience in negotiations

Sales Incentive
