The Embassy Suites by Hilton Santa Clara Silicon Valley is looking for a Laundry/Janitorial Attendant to add to their team! This is a Full-Time role.

Wage Rate: $21.00/per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Laundry/Janitorial Attendant, you would be responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers, and chutes), ironing, folding, storing, and delivering lines to rooms as needed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry machinery and the laundry area
  • Maintain stock levels
  • Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Deliver items to guests upon request
  • Perform additional laundry services, as needed
  • Provide janitorial services throughout the public spaces within the hotel, such as public restrooms, lobby area, hallways/stairways, elevator spaces, and gym facilities.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed, to maintain a clean and neat hotel

What are we looking for?

  • Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a can-do attitude and work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain a steady workflow without supervision.
  • Ability to lift and carry laundry loads of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull a cart of up to 150 lbs.
