KCRA 3/KQCA My58 is looking for a full-time Audience Insights and Programming Specialist who is an organized, detail-oriented team player with exceptional communication and analysis skills. You will be overseeing maintenance and daily updates of program grids and show episode numbers, communicate changes and updates with essential station departments and listing services, and work with Operations on contingencies, programming changes, and questions. You will also work with our Audience Insights Analyst in formatting data, pulling sales reports, and creating 1-sheets and presentations. PowerPoint and Excel skills are key, and organization and good communication skills are a must. You may also field viewer calls and emails, maintain files, and assist with FCC reporting. You will get a front seat to see how data-driven decisions are made and how they will affect the future of KCRA 3/KQCA My58. You will report to the Analytics and Programming Director.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Program Schedules for distribution.
  • Communicate changes in programming.
  • Updating Episode numbers for programs and communicate changes.
  • Update Nielsen e Names with program titling, timing, and retitling.
  • Communicate with Master Control and Tech Center programming changes and contingencies.
  • Schedule captioning for local programming.
  • Check, communicate and file viewer emails. Return viewer calls if needed.
  • Communicate with distributors about possible show preemptions.
  • Track and report program performance in Nielsen and Comscore.
  • Assist with FCC Quarterly Reports and Annual Children’s Report.
  • Assist with overnights, sales and programming 1-sheets,
  • Create category specific presentations using qualitative data.
  • Help maintain department project calendar/list.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of previous media experience preferred.

  • Experience using Wide Orbit Media Sales, Wide Orbit Traffic, Media Star/Titan, Media Monitors, Kantar, Marshall Marketing, Nielsen products (Arianna, NLTV), Canva, ChatGPT, as well as Power Query or Access preferred.

  • Interest in AI and AI efficiencies.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.

  • Consistently meet deadlines in a challenging and dynamic environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Must be highly focused, organized, and detail oriented.

  • Must take pride in work, respond to instruction well, thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working independently and perform at a consistently high-level.

  • Related military training from Defense Information School (DINFOS) and related experience will be considered.

Salary

The estimated base salary range for this role is between $45,000 and $55,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
