**The most important role of Business Development is to drive new business growth and strategic partnerships for the agency. To that end, this position will lead our efforts to identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities while also, nurturing organic growth from existing clients. You will champion the agency's capabilities in the marketplace, building relationships with prospective clients and positioning Medium Giant as a strategic partner. You will do so through strategic market intelligence, compelling pitch development, and effective management of our collective team and resources. You will regularly lead or support pitches for new business and expansion opportunities with current accounts. The VP, Business Development drives the strategic direction and execution of new business initiatives, managing the pipeline from prospect identification through RFP response and pitch presentation to contract negotiation and close. Collaborates closely with agency leadership to align business development efforts with agency capabilitiesand strategic priorities. Manages relationships with key prospects, referral sources, industry contacts, and with sales teams across the Hearst portfolio. Responsible for...- Leading the Business Development team to identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with agency capabilities and strategic objectives. - Developing compelling RFP responses and pitch presentations that showcase agency capabilities, case studies, and strategic insights.
- Collaborating with creative, strategy, and account teams to craft winning proposals.
- Managing and tracking the new business pipeline, including prospect database, opportunity stages, win/loss analysis, and revenue forecasts. Identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities with existing and future agency clients.
- Negotiating contracts and fees with marketing directors and client procurement personnel. Building and maintaining strategic partnerships and industry relationships to expand the agency's network and create referral opportunities.
- Reporting new business pipeline metrics, win rates, and revenue projections to agency leadership, providing regular updates on business development activities and results.
- Working closely with the Operations team to constantly evaluate and optimize our work process
- Maintaining a detailed awareness of relevant market trends affecting our agency accounts, and developments in the broader advertising and communications
- industry.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in advertising or related field - Minimum 15 years of advertising/marketing experience with at least eight years of work in business development
