About the role

Job Summary

This role is accountable for overseeing the operations and optimization of large-scale VMware v Sphere and v Center environments, driving process improvements, ensuring adherence to client SLAs, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. The individual leads incident and problem management, mentors technical teams, and champions innovation to ensure robust, secure, and high-performing virtual infrastructure for enterprise clients.

Install, configure, and maintain VMware v Sphere environments including ESXi hosts, v Center Server, and related components.\\r\\n Monitor system performance and availability using tools like v Realize Operations Manager.\\r\\n Must have experience on managing VCF and SDDC environment \\r\\n Perform regular system upgrades & patches using SDDC/life cycle manager \\r\\n Manage virtual machines (VMs), templates, snapshots, and resource allocation.\\r\\n Implement and maintain disaster recovery solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).\\r\\n Collaborate with storage, network, and security teams to ensure seamless integration.\\r\\n Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization infrastructure.\\r\\n Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.\\r\\n Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.\\r\\n Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead end-to-end operations and continuous improvement of VMware v Sphere and vSAN environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with client SLAs.
  2. Utilize VMware v Center and vSAN administration tools to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure issues, driving root cause analysis and preventive actions.
  3. Oversee implementation and optimization of VMware SRM (Site Recovery Manager) for disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
  4. Deploy and manage ARIA Monitoring Tools to proactively monitor virtualization infrastructure, generate actionable insights, and enhance incident response.
  5. Mentor and guide support teams on advanced VMware best practices, fostering technical growth and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and refine operational processes, leveraging VMware platform features for improved efficiency and reporting.
  7. Evaluate emerging VMware technologies and recommend innovative solutions for process optimization and infrastructure scalability.
  8. Ensure transparent communication of project objectives, progress, and risks to stakeholders, facilitating effective issue resolution and client satisfaction.

Skill Requirements

  1. Excellent Knowledge Of Vmware Vsan Deployment, Management, And Performance Tuning.
  2. Advanced Skills In Vmware Srm For Disaster Recovery Planning And Orchestration.
  3. Solid Experience With Aria Monitoring Tools Or Equivalent Platforms For Virtualization Monitoring And Analytics.
  4. Strong Leadership And Mentoring Abilities, With Proven Experience Guiding Support Teams In Complex Environments.
  5. In Depth Understanding Of Itil Based Operations Management, Incident, And Change Management Practices.
  6. Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills.

  1. VMware Certified Advanced Professional � Data Center Virtualization (VCAPDCV) is highly recommended.
